nu duo is the collaboration between American bass clarinetist William Hayter and French percussionist Julien Moussiegt.
"Nu" means "now" in Dutch (music for the present moment), "nude" in French (an authentic experience and an exposed aesthetic), and sounds like "new" in English (the utmost significance of sound and the necessity of the novel).
nu duo specializes in improvisations crafted for the unique circumstances of each performance, including the audience and environment, in addition to performing composed pieces.
